OTHER VENTURES

In addition to our morgans, we raise our own hay, yaks and goats. We have 160 acres, with about 100 acres in hay ground. We sold our beef herd in 2006, due to a cold, wet summer and resultant poor hay year. The morgans come first around here.

We do enjoy raising a few yaks and meat goats. We are helped by our three youngest kids and the requisite dogs and cats. In summer, we usually raise turkeys and chickens as well.
